MPD Choke Operator

Job Brief

Are you an experienced MPD professional with hands-on expertise in operating MPD choke systems? Do you have the technical competence to control wellbore pressure safely during drilling operations?

We are hiring MPD Choke Operators for a leading oil & gas operation. The role involves operating MPD choke systems, monitoring well parameters in real time, and supporting safe and efficient Managed Pressure Drilling operations on the rig.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor MPD choke manifolds during drilling operations.
• Maintain wellbore pressure within defined operating limits.
• Monitor real-time drilling parameters and respond to pressure fluctuations.
• Execute MPD procedures, pressure tests, and system checks as per approved programs.
• Coordinate with MPD Supervisors, rig crews, and drilling engineers.
• Assist in troubleshooting MPD equipment and operational issues.
• Record and report MPD data, events, and anomalies accurately.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and operational procedures.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Petroleum, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on MPD experience as a Choke Operator.
• Strong understanding of MPD systems, choke operations, and pressure control.
• Experience working on drilling rigs.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts and long hours.
