AutoCAD Designer & Draughtsman for Fire Fighting Systems

Job brief:

We are hiring on behalf of a leading Safety Installation Company for the position of AutoCAD Designer & Draughtsman – Fire Fighting Systems. The role primarily involves preparing accurate fire-fighting system drawings in compliance with approved codes and standards, along with supporting estimation and quantity take-off activities.

The selected candidate will work closely with design, estimation, and site teams to ensure coordinated, compliant, and execution-ready fire protection drawings for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Fire Fighting System Design & Drafting

• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for fire-fighting systems including sprinkler systems, hydrants, wet & dry risers, foam systems, and CO₂ suppression systems.
• Develop layout, shop, and as-built drawings in accordance with NFPA, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and local authority requirements.
• Coordinate fire-fighting drawings with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural).
• Review project specifications, IFC drawings, and site conditions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support revisions based on site conditions and authority comments.

Estimation & Quantity Take-Off Support

• Assist in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation for fire-fighting systems.
• Support cost estimation by identifying materials and system components.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal procurement teams for technical inputs.
• Assist in updating estimation documents and revisions as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years UAE experience in fire-fighting system design and drafting (estimation exposure preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, UAE Fire Code, and local regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience with sprinkler systems, hydrants, fire alarm interfaces, CO₂ and foam systems.
• Prior experience with a fire & safety installation company is an advantage.

Salary: AED 7000 – 10000/Month
