Credit Controller – Equipment Rental Sector

Job Brief:

Are you experienced in credit control, collections, and customer account management within the construction or equipment rental industry? Do you have fluency in Arabic and a solid track record of reducing outstanding receivables and managing credit risk? If so, you’re the one we’re looking for.

Our client, a reputable Saudi-owned equipment rental group with strong operations across the GCC, is seeking a proactive Credit Controller for their Abu Dhabi office. This role is crucial to maintaining cash flow, assessing customer creditworthiness, and minimizing financial risk in a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Conduct credit checks and evaluate customer financials to determine credit limits.
  • Follow up with clients on overdue invoices and maintain low Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any billing disputes or payment discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth customer transactions.
  • Escalate long-standing overdue accounts and initiate legal or external collection processes if required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and generate regular aging reports.
  • Enforce internal credit policies and recommend improvements where needed.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in credit control, preferably in the construction or equipment rental industry.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English (Arabic is mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk evaluation and UAE debt recovery procedures.
  • Familiar with ERP/accounting systems and Excel-based reporting.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.

Type of Employment: Permanent / Full time

Salary: AED 8,000 – 12,000 per month
