Hostess – Hospitality Sector

Job Brief:

Are you experienced in guest service, managing front-of-house operations, and delivering memorable dining experiences? Do you excel at creating a welcoming atmosphere, coordinating reservations, and enhancing guest satisfaction in a luxury hospitality setting? If so, you might be the person we’re looking for.

Our client is hiring a Hostess who will be the face of the restaurant and first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm, professional, and seamless guest journey from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests with professionalism and warmth
• Manage reservation systems, guest profiles, and table allocations
• Coordinate guest flow and waiting lists during peak hours
• Handle phone calls for reservations, inquiries, and take-out orders
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the menu and make suggestions where needed
• Identify and acknowledge VIP and returning guests
• Collaborate with service staff to ensure exceptional dining service
• Assist with inventory, stock control, and end-of-day closing procedures
• Comply with safety, hygiene, and company operational standards

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in hospitality is a plus
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a hostess or guest relations role, preferably in upscale dining
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in POS systems (Micros a plus), Excel, Word, and reservation software (SevenRooms/OpenTable)
• Fluent in English; Arabic or other language skills are an advantage
• Able to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
• Professional grooming and strong sense of hospitality
