Job Brief:
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Junior International Sales Engineer to join our client’s global trading team. This entry-level role is perfect for a talented, highly trainable individual with a technical background (Mechanical Engineering) and a passion for international sales. You will be responsible for supporting the buying and selling of used heavy construction machinery—such as Dozers, Graders, Crushers, and Batching Plants —sourcing them from Asian markets (Japan, China) and selling to clients in emerging regions (Africa, Mexico). Full training will be provided on specific heavy equipment valuations and international logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Business Development Support
- Lead Generation: Actively identify and research potential buyers (contractors, dealers, end-users) in target markets, including Africa and Mexico, to build a robust sales pipeline.
- Client Communication: Serve as the initial technical and commercial point of contact for international inquiries, providing detailed product information, technical specifications, and photos/videos of available machinery.
- Quotation Preparation: Assist the senior team in drafting, preparing, and presenting commercial proposals and sales quotations to clients, ensuring accuracy on pricing, terms, and specifications.
- Sales Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and client interactions in the company’s CRM system.
- Technical Support and Sourcing
- Technical Bridging: Leverage your engineering background (Mechanical/Engineering) to understand and clearly articulate the operational capabilities, features, and technical condition of the used heavy equipment to non-technical buyers.
- Sourcing Support: Assist the procurement team by researching equipment details, comparing models, and preparing technical summaries for machinery being sourced from Japan and China.
- Inspection Coordination: Coordinate with third-party inspectors or local agents in sourcing countries to arrange and track equipment condition reports and inspections.
- Operations and Logistics Assistance
- Documentation: Prepare, verify, and organize essential sales and shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and Certificates of Origin.
- Logistics Coordination: Support the team in coordinating with freight forwarders for the international shipment of equipment, tracking vessel movements, and managing delivery timelines.
- Trade Compliance: Ensure all sales and procurement activities adhere to local and international trade compliance and export regulations.
Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, or a related technical/Engineering field is mandatory .
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of total professional experience, with a significant portion involving sales of engineered products or industrial goods (e.g., pumps, generators, manufacturing equipment, production machinery).
- A valid UAE driver’s license is required.
- Willingness and ability to travel to visit clients, inspect equipment, or attend trade shows.
