Logistics Specialist – Import/Export Operations

Are you experienced in handling import/export logistics, customs clearance, and shipping documentation within the UAE? Do you excel at coordinating with freight forwarders, preparing compliance documents, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods across international borders?

We’re seeking a Logistics Specialist to oversee import/export operations and documentation for our client. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a solid background in international trade logistics.

Fluency in Hindi or Malayalam is required to effectively coordinate with regional suppliers and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle import and export logistics, including shipping via air, sea, and land.
  • Prepare and review shipping/trade documentation:
  • Commercial invoices
  • Packing lists
  • Certificate of Origin
  • Bill of Lading / Airway Bills
  • Customs Declarations
  • Free zone or mainland clearance papers
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents to ensure smooth deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai CustomsJAFZADMCCDAFZA, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Track shipments and share updates with internal departments.
  • Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and finance teams for GRNs, duty payments, and stock entries.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and support audit processes.
  • Stay updated on Incoterms, UAE VAT/duties, and logistics regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding within the UAE.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE customs, free zone vs. mainland rules, and clearance workflows.
  • Fluency in Hindi or Malayalam is required.
  • Skilled in preparing complete shipping documentation.
  • Proficient in ERP/logistics systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CargoWise, etc.).
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication abilities.
  • Strong English skills (written and spoken) also necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines independently.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract

Salary Range: AED 5,000 – 7,000/month (depending on experience)
