Job Brief:
Are you an experienced PLC & Automation Engineer with hands-on skills in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial automation systems? We are looking for a dynamic engineer to join our client team in Abqaiq-based team working on advanced control systems in industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure system efficiency, performance, and compliance in mission-critical operations.
The client is head-quartered in the United States , specializes in providing coating services through robotic systems for onshore and offshore pipelines, refineries, and various other industrial plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement PLC programs for industrial automation applications.
- Configure and troubleshoot PLCs from vendors such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider.
- Integrate and program HMI/SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control.
- Perform commissioning and testing of automation systems on-site.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and flowcharts.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve control system issues.
- Ensure all automation systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.
- Support training initiatives for operations personnel.
Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Expertise in Siemens TIA Portal and other PLC software platforms.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and control logic.
- Familiarity with sensors, actuators, VFDs, and protocols like Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
- Skilled in system testing and diagnostics.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Language: Proficient in English (spoken and written).
- Mindset: Analytical, proactive, and team-oriented.
Location: Abqaiq, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
Type of Employment: Permanent / Full-time / 60 hours work per week
