Junior Quantity Surveyor

Are you experienced in conducting detailed cost estimations, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and ensuring commercial success within construction projects? If so, you are the highly skilled Quantity Surveyor we are seeking to join our client team.

 

Our client operates within the construction industry as a main contractor. Your expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts, as well as managing staff, consultants, and contractors, will be invaluable in this role.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct detailed cost estimations and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with legal and commercial requirements.
  • Assess commercial risks within contracts and projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Shortlist subcontractors and suppliers for tender, evaluating proposals and negotiating terms.
  • Manage staff, consultants, and contractors, assigning tasks and overseeing performance to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project progress and costs, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Prepare and submit insurance and bonds documentation as required for project compliance.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, incorporating them into project planning and execution.

Required Qualification / Experience / Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience required
  • Proven experience in conducting cost estimations, preparing BOQs, and managing contracts within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with construction practices and regulations in Gulf countries is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as MS Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.

 Job Location: AL Khobar, Saudi Arabia

 Type of Employment: Full time/ Permanent

Salary: SAR 6K/Month
